Our Secret Countryside

Park your car well off the road at The Cock (we can comfortably accommodate up to 40 cars, so bring all your friends and family) and the choice of walks available to you is enormous.

Ramble gently for an hour across river meadows or use Pavenham as a start and finish point for a full day yomp through several local villages via fields and woods or anything in between – we can advise and direct you when you get here.

Whichever you choose there need be little reason to go anywhere near a road the whole time you’re here and it’s all child friendly.

For dogs, it’s absolute canine heaven and when you get back to The Cock we are very happy to have both dogs and kids (clean versions!) in the pub.

Why not come along with your local walking or rambling club.

Or organise your car rally around our pretty North Beds villages and you can start and finish here at The Cock with a drink, a snack or even a full meal.
