About Us

We are Jane & Mike, and we took over The Cock in April 2003.

We wanted to start doing food so put in a new kitchen, dining room and refurbished the bar areas.

The result is the cleanest & best-presented small friendly pub in the area – an asset to the village and for visitors from further afield.

Our food offering is of the highest quality, is freshly prepared and is certainly not "Fast Food". The cooking is all done by Jane, who is professionally trained and is very proud of her Distinction in her City & Guilds.

We always ensure that we are not over booked and like you to feel that your table really is "yours" for the evening. So do come and meet us, and enjoy yourselves in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
